Actualidades en trombosis
Resumen
El trombo como fenómeno de enfermedad vascular siempre debe constituir un diagnóstico diferencial en el abordaje de estudio de los pacientes, sea cual sea el órgano afectado, por lo que constituye un reto diagnóstico para el clínico. En este artículo se resumen las principales manifestaciones clínicas y la forma de establecer el diagnóstico en los distintos sitios en donde se ubique el trombo. Se sugieren algunos pasos prácticos en el estudio y tratamiento de los pacientes, así como la forma de seleccionar hoy día entre los distintos fármacos antitrombóticos disponibles comercialmente.

Abstract
The thrombus as a phenomenon of vascular disease should always be a differential diagnosis in addressing study of patients whatever the affected organ, which is a diagnostic challenge for the clinician. In this article it is summarized the main clinical manifestations and how to establish the diagnosis in the various places where the thrombus is located. Some practical steps in the study and treatment of patients are suggested, as well as how to choose today among different antithrombotic drugs commercially available.
